Mission Woman in Top 3 to become 2022 Maxim Cover Girl!

7/18/2022

Help Krystal Lahoda be the next Maxim Cover Girl. Vote for Krystal HERE.  Voting ends July 21st at 7PM PDT, daily voting allowed.

Krystal Lahoda is in competition to be the 2022 Maxim Cover Girl and needs your help.  She is currently 3rd in her group.  Voting opened on Monday, June 13th and will close on July 21st.  If she wins, she will be awarded $25,000 and a photo shoot in France for the cover of the magazine.

She defines happiness as "spending quality time with friends and family, whether it's at a lake swimming, hiking the nearby mountains or sitting around bonfires".  If she wins, she would like to donate a portion of the grand prize money to a friend who recently lost her husband. This would help her and her three daughters who no longer have a support system.

We wish Krystal the best of luck. And  don't forget to cast your votes at

Harrison Festival Society Children’s Day Returns with Full Event

With the Harrison Festival of the Arts returning to its complete 10 day program in Harrison Hot Springs this year, it will also bring a return of its popular family-friendly event, Children’s Day. This fun and artistically inspired event will take place from 11am until 4pm on Wednesday July 13, in and around the Memorial Hall in Harrison Hot Springs.

Over the past two years, the Festival presented a very limited version of Children’s Day, with outdoor concerts and limited audience capacity. This year, the festival will present its full range of activities, including indoor and outdoor concerts, crafts, a climbing wall, theatre games, and a tiny tots area.

The indoor feature performer in Harrison’s Memorial Hall will be Ideas Bobert, a clown tour de force of comedy and conundrum. With a vintage silent film styling, shadow puppetry, stop motion animation projections, dance and live music, the world of Ideas Bobert is rich with magic and creativity.

Outside the Memorial there will be performances by Children’s singer Penny Pom Pom and Francophone group Podorythmie, who combine traditional fiddle music with old fashioned crankies, or hand-cranked animation.

Children’s Day Coordinator Lyndsay James has compiled a range of hands-on, crafty activities for kids to get creative with. The Chilliwack School of the Performing Arts will also be present, with fun playful activities for the theatrically inclined.

There is much to experience in the 10 days of the festival, so check www.harrisonfestival.com for more details. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate and are very accessible at six dollars.
